Ways to help as an ARF volunteer
Volunteer at the Facility
Our facility houses more than 50 dogs which takes quite a bit of work to meet all of their daily needs. ARF relies on volunteers to operate and maintain the facility. Taking time with individual rescue dogs who are at the ARF facility, to walk, train, socialize; and get to know them. Help at Events
Being at Adoption Events to hold dogs, talk to and help potential adopters; give information and just generally make sure people are taken care of and things run as efficiently and smoothly as possible. You can also help at the annual ARF Open House event and other annual events.
Outreach
- Do promo work, like putting up flyers for rescue in various locations
- Find ways to raise funds
- Contact local newspapers about free ads or running stories on our dogs
- Contact businesses to donate items for auctions
- Contact pet stores for donations of dog food, supplies, etc
