As a volunteer-based, non-profit organization that receives no government funding, ARF relies entirely on the support of friends in the community to sustain its operations and programs. We encourage you to join us! Some of the ways you can help are listed below, but don't hesitate to contact us about other opportunities.
Our facility houses more than 50 dogs which takes quite a bit of work to meet all of their daily needs. ARF relies on volunteers to operate and maintain the facility. Taking time with individual rescue dogs who are at the ARF facility, to walk, train, socialize; and get to know them. Being at Adoption Events to hold dogs, talk to and help potential adopters; give information and just generally make sure people are taken care of and things run as efficiently and smoothly as possible. You can also help at the annual ARF Open House event and other annual events.
