Animal Rescue of Fresno (ARF) was established in 1998 by a group of community members in Fresno, CA who wanted to do something about the high number of homeless dogs that were dying because no one gave them a chance to find their forever home.
ARF began its operations out of a small facility on Belmont Ave and Highway 99. ARF moved to its current location on Dakota Avenue in 2005. From its humble beginnings, ARF has grown quickly, so that more and more dogs each year can be rescued and adopted out to loving forever homes.
Adopting a dog is a huge commitment and is something that should be done only after careful and thoughtful consideration. Remember, when you are adopting a dog, you are agreeing to care for that animal for the rest of his or her life. Please visit our adoption page. These listings are always updating with new and available dogs.
ARF is always in need of financial support along with other items and care. On our website you will find a list of our regularly needed items as well as others ways to support ARF such as through the purchase of merchandise or through our affiliate product pages.
